When we met Baylee, we find out she left a serious abusive relationship, changed her name and she's current living with her ex's pregnant teenage sister. Her ex almost killed her and got his sister hooked on drugs. Baylee is just trying to survive and keep Rae (the sister) and her baby clean. Baylee's working two jobs and has no life. Rae is a serious brat, which doesn't help Baylee at all. Baylee's best friend guilt trips her into a night at a bar just one night. That's where we meet Jack. Jack at first see's Baylee as his next conquest but man o man he's in for a rude awakening. She turns him down flat. What follows is Jack sorda doing a little stalkering and Baylee slowly letting down those walls. The story of Baylee and Jack starts off as friends and grows into so much more. Jack never gives up and he just wears Baylee down. It's such a sweet read. I love Bella Jewel's books so honestly its no surprised that I highly enjoyed this one.
